For iPhone. Coming soon to the App Store.

The date is on the pack. Then the pack goes in the cupboard.

  • It's hard to find.Printed in tiny dots on a lid, a crimp or the bottom of a tin.

  • There are too many to remember.A fridge, a cupboard and a medicine box hold dozens of dates.

  • So it's found too late. And good products go in the bin, sometimes unopened.

Scan, track, stay ahead.

Adding a product takes a few seconds. After that, Prexpire does the remembering.

01

Scan a product to get started.

Point the camera at the barcode and Prexpire finds the product's name. Then point it at the date. It reads printed dates and faint dot-matrix stamps, and you check the result before it's saved.

  • Names come from the barcode, so they're right
  • Medicine packs: the square DataMatrix code gives the exact date
  • Can't read it? Pick the date on the iPhone date wheels

Keep its expiry date organised.

Every product goes into a category with a countdown that's easy to read: green while there's time, amber when it's close, red once it has passed.

  • Food, Medicine, Household, Skincare, Pantry, or your own
  • Search, filter and sort as the list grows
  • Opened something? Mark it, and the date moves forward to "use within"

03

Know what's expiring soon.

Home shows what's coming up next and whether anything needs you today. Each category has its own warning period, so milk warns you days ahead and medicine months ahead.

  • Reminders for what's due now, this week and later
  • Products that are running out join your shopping list
  • "All caught up" when nothing needs attention

Waste stats

What you used in time and what expired, month by month and by category.

Medicine codes

The DataMatrix code on medicine packs carries the expiry date, so the date comes out exact.

Opened items

Mark an item as opened and its date becomes "use within 3 days", or whatever suits the category.

Your own categories

Pet food, baby, garage: make a folder, pick an icon and a colour, and drag it into place.

Backup and restore

Everything in one file you keep. Save it to iCloud Drive or Files and restore it on a new phone.

What's in your cupboard stays with you.

There's no account and no ads. Your list lives on your phone. Prexpire only goes online to look up a product's name from its barcode.

  • No account to create
  • Labels are read on the phone
  • Works offline
  • Backups go only where you put them

Use it before it expires.
